问：老师做的作业答案和我差得很远看来我的水平有限啊！
刘黛琳：Don`t be disappointed.
If your answers are always the same as the teachers, this course might be too easy for you. In fact, it takes time for you to get closer to your teachers` answers. The most important thing is you compare what you have written with the teachers` version, and work out the difference.
If you don`t know why, then this is the time for you to consult your teachers.

问：请刘老师指教如何提高阅读的速度和效率? 在阅读中我知道是要有技巧的,请刘老师指教一二 。
刘黛琳： Reading
I don`t know if you are talking about reading generally or reading during the exam. Generally speaking, you should read different reading materials in different ways. You can read quickly for getting the gist of the text, or to get specific information by detailed reading. So the purpose of reading also effects your way of reading. But during the exams, you have to read according to what you are required to do for the reading. If it`s only for general information, you don`t read word by word since you don`t have enough time.

问：如何进行期末复习？马上就要进行考试了，心里却没有一点儿底。请您指教。谢谢！
刘黛琳：Prepare for the exam
There are only a few weeks left before the exams. And you haven`t finished this course yet. Therefore, you `d better look at the guidelines for the exam and be familiarised with the types of items of the exam. Listen to the cassettes of the course and practise your oral English with a partner. You could talk about the topics covered in the course. If you have been working seriously, you should be confident. Good luck!

问：休闲英语的单词量有点多，吃不消了！
刘黛琳：Try your best. There are too many new words indeed in this course. And you should have learnt all the commonly used ones. But for those special terms, you only need to be able to recognize them within the context. It could be difficult for you to remember all the words in this course.

问：考试的压力挺大?
刘黛琳： Yes, but...
All the students feel pressurised with exams. But if you have been following the course and done all your homework, you should be OK. Good luck!

问：请问这个词怎么翻译“买菜”
刘黛琳：Do shopping, buy vegetables or go to the greengrocer's.

问：休闲和日常连书都没有摸，怎么办哦
刘黛琳：Sorry, you should have studied your books.

问：Mrs Liu.you did good job in "Die Da English" ,could you teach us <> like that on TV? Thank you a million!
刘黛琳：Thank you.
English at Leisure is not the same type of course as TVU English, which is designed for false beginners. We also have TV programmes for English at Leisure, and I think they are wonderfully made. I hope you enjoy them as well. Thank you for your compliment.
